Mobile checkout is where most e-commerce revenue is actually decided

For most e-commerce brands, mobile now carries the majority of sessions and the least tolerance for friction.

Mobile traffic share has grown steadily for most e-commerce brands to the point where it's often the majority of sessions, and mobile checkout friction — extra form fields, slow page loads, awkward payment entry — costs proportionally more revenue than the same friction would on desktop.

Autofill support, native payment methods (Apple Pay, Google Pay), and minimal required fields matter disproportionately on mobile, because the physical act of typing on a phone keyboard raises the cost of every unnecessary step.

A conversion audit that only reviews desktop checkout, or reviews both without weighting mobile appropriately given its traffic share, is likely missing the highest-leverage fix available.
